Who's behind all these incredible images
Eleanore Hilferty, is the owner of two small businesses. She is a professional photographer and the photographer for MRC and Co., Inc. She is also a computer consultant and retired reading specialist with the Philadelphia School District. Her photographs have appeared in magazines, newspapers, calendars, travel catalogs, and web sites world wide. many of them accompanying her husband’s travel stories. They include Elle Magazine, City Smart, the New York Daily News, Family Circle, Philadelphia Inquirer, Newark Daily News, Chicago Daily Herald, Copley Newspapers, Vantage World Travel, Viking River Cruises, Hancomm Hanwha Group in Korea, and others.
Ellie is co-author with her husband of The Mad River Valley, a photographic history published by Arcadia Publishing. She has studied photography with Jim Zuckerman, Paul Gero, Brian Peterson and Chris Hunt, and has completed several courses with Adobe and Apple Computer. She is president of Hilferty Computing Services, and has worked for Darrad Computer Services in sales, service, and training. She is treasurer of the Moretown Library trustees.
Ellie has a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Albright College and a masters degree in education from Temple University, plus additional graduate credits from the University of Pennsylvania, and others. She has two grown children and six grandchildren, including one who is a member of the Mad River Kids Chorale.
