Andrea Bonamico

Andrea Bonamico, teacher, singer, actor and director received her Bachelor of Music and Education degree from Bucknell University and studied musical theater at Circle in the Square Theater School in NYC. Currently, Andrea studies vocal technique with Bill Reed and has worked with renowned teachers such as Mana Allen, Alan Langdon, Gregory Toroian and Ken Schatz. She has also had the privilege of working with other great professionals such as Bob Goldstone and Kimberly Vaughn. DAILY LIFE Andrea actively teaches both voice and theater in a variety of settings. She is excited (and pleasantly exhausted ) about her post as Choral Director at U32 HS/MS grades 7-12. Andrea immensely enjoys directing musicals at U-32 as well. Outside of school Andrea maintains an abundant private voice studio in Berlin. She also serves as regular musical director for the Green Mountain Valley School and is the founder and conductor of the Mad River Kids' Chorale. Andrea served on the Board of Directors Bundy Center for the Arts where she developed a number of high quality cultural events in a wide variety of genres. She currently assists MRC & Company by adivising on educational and outreach programs. During the summers, Andrea teaches at a number of musical theater and singing camps for both Cafe Noir Productions and the Skinner Barn / Common Group. When she is not working Andrea enjoys the company of her husband Piero and their two boxers, Oskar and Felix. ROLES & STAGE WORK In October of 2007 Andrea had the privilege of performing as a soloist with the Mad River Chorale for the US Premier of Christoph Schonherr's MAGNIFICAT at the Barre Opera House. My Name is Alice, Songs for a New World, The Robber Bridegroom, Chicago, The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Rosa), and Pirates of Penzance. She has also been featured in a number of professional cabarets, recitals and benefit performances throughout the region.
